An Academic Sanctuary for Postgraduate Research
The Indian Institute of Islamic Studies and Research (IIISR) was established in 2016 by the Islamic Academy Trust (est. 2005) at the historic Jamat-e-Islami Hind Headquarters campus in Jamia Nagar, Okhla, New Delhi.
Historically, higher Islamic research and contemporary collegiate academia have operated in parallel streams with little institutional cross-pollination. IIISR was founded to bridge this gap. We offer traditional madrasa graduates (Farigheen) comprehensive training in English linguistics, social sciences, and research methodologies, while providing university graduates and online cohorts profound access to primary classical sources.
Guided by principles of spiritual purification (Tazkiyah), ethical grounding, and rigorous analytical thought, IIISR cultivates scholars who navigate contemporary civilizational dilemmas with intellectual clarity and deep faith.
